I believe the secret to a good gardener is a sensitivety to the needs of the environment, the plants and the animals. Knowing when to prune and what to weed is only part of the picture, just as important is knowing what to keep and leave alone to help sustain natures natural balance in the garden. Holistic organic managment is an ideal to work towards, I am still learning and inspired to better practice, rewarded by the results daily.
